Volleyball places unique physical demands on the body, with repetitive unilateral movements often leading to muscle imbalances and increased injury risk. Without intentional, individualized strength and movement training, athletes can develop chronic injuries and inefficient movement patterns that impact both performance and long-term health.
With over 30 years of volleyball experience, 10 years as a personal trainer, 5 years coaching youth athletes, and 15 years in psychology and mental health, Renée takes a holistic approach to athlete development. Drawing from her experience playing under elite Team BC coaches, she helps athletes build strength, move efficiently, reduce injury risk, and develop the mental resilience needed to thrive in high-performance sport.
Renée believes volleyball is about more than the skills displayed on the court. Her ultimate goal is to help athletes develop the confidence, resilience, and self-esteem to navigate not only their sport, but all aspects of life. The skills built through volleyball can shape our identity, strengthen our leadership, and fuel the determination to pursue our goals. If she can empower young athletes to feel secure in their decisions, trust their instincts, and believe in their ability to rise to challenges, she considers that an invaluable role and a privilege to be trusted with.
“MY MISSION IS to empower youth athletes to build strength, confidence and resilience through a holistic approach to performance. Training with purpose, staying healthy, and excelling both on and off the court.”
